The .pgm (Portable Gray Map) file types are 8-bit grayscale images that contain different shades of gray and transparent pixels. I’m unable to open a .pgm file with Adobe Photoshop – What should I do?

To open a .pgm file in Adobe Photoshop, you need to install the CartaPGM plug-in. Check to see if you have this plug-in. If you don’t have the plug-in, download and install the required plug-in to open the .pgm file.
